City crews began spring pickup of trash today and also will remove limbs and other storm debris placed in visible locations near streets.
Normally, residents have to call ahead to report debris to be hauled. Since the windstorm struck Friday morning that wasn’t possible, City Administrator Judy Brigham said.
“Limbs will be picked up at the same time as trash that was reported earlier for removal,” Brigham said.
However, she stressed, limbs, brush and lawn waste need to be piled separately from other storm debris, such as lumber or furniture.
Because of the timing, residents will be given until the end of the week, when the pickup is supposed to end, to make separate piles for pickup.
