New hematology and oncology services will soon be available at Allen County Regional Hospital, with the hiring of Dr. Muzaffar Iqbal, a certified oncologist.
Iqbal treats all types of cancer.
“I appreciate the opportunity to serve patients at Allen County Regional Hospital and from throughout southeast Kansas,” Iqbal said in a press release. “I look forward to a long and rewarding association with the hospital, staff and community.”
Iqbal will complement existing cancer services at the hospital, such as chemotherapy infusion, injections, maintenance of access ports and flushing, in addition to diagnostic services such as minimally invasive technology for diagnosing and treating breast lesions, and other cancer care services.
