Richard E. Keele, 70, of LaHarpe died Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Allen County Hospital.
He was born March 14, 1939, in Iola, the son of Paul Edward and Dorothy Mae (Lee) Keele. He grew up in Gas and served in the U.S. Navy.
He was married to Sandra Thompson. They had two daughters, and a son who died in infancy before they divorced. He later married Sharon Woodward and they were divorced.
He worked as a mechanic for the Ford dealership in Iola and as a truck driver most of his life making his home in DeSoto and Wellsville before retiring to LaHarpe.
He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and Harley motorcycles.
He is survived by two daughters, Sherry Keele and Diana Keele, both of Iola; a sister, Paula Peterson, Iola; three grandchildren, Ryan Ellis and Luther and Joshua Lohff; and three great-grandchildren.
An infant son, Dennis, infant brother, Paul Jr., and a brother, Robert, died earlier.
Cremation has taken place.
Private family services will be held later.
Visitation will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the North Community Building in Iola.
