Frank Thomas “Tom” Dennison Jr., 66, of Iola died Thursday, March 11, 2010, at Moran Manor Nursing Center.
He was born Nov. 18, 1943, in Pasco, Wash., the son of Frank Thomas and Marguerite E. (Taylor) Dennison Sr. He grew up in the Kansas City area. After serving in the U.S. Navy he made his home in the Long Beach, Calif., area until moving to Iola a year and a half ago. He worked as a car salesman in the auto industry most of his life.
He and Darla Dennison had a son before their marriage ended. He later married Eileen Wilson and they had three children before they divorced, however, they remained life partners until her death.
He is survived by four children, Frank III and Eric, Charlotte, N.C., Carrie Fox, Whittier, Calif., and Joyce Peterson, Woodbury, Minn.; and five grandchildren.
Two sisters, Beverly Dietrich and Maxine Sherrill, also died earlier.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapels in Iola. Inurnment will be in Highland Cemetery in Iola.
