Allen XC competes in Joplin race

JOPLIN, Mo. — The Allen Community College cross country team fielded both a men’s and women’s squad for the Missouri Southern Stampede in Joplin, Mo., on Saturday.
The men finished the 8k race in 13th place as a team. The Red Devils recorded a score of 262 points, which was 20 points behind Central Missouri for 12th place and 141 behind East Central for first place.
The women, who ran a 5k, finished in sixth place with a score of 192. Central Methodist was 16 points ahead of Allen to earn a top-five ranking while Hastings won the meet with just 75 points.
