Lady Devils fall 0-3 to KCKCC

The struggles continued for Allen County volleyball Wednesday night as the Lady Devils fell 0-3 (11-25, 11-25, 9-25) to Kansas City Kansas Community College.
Allen County is now 0-31 this season and 0-7 in conference play.
Bhana Gony, one of the top offensive players for the Lady Devils, and Moeisha Walker were both not available to play.
Errors continue to be an issue as Allen recorded 18 attack errors opposed to only 12 kills. Allen hit a negative percentage in set one and zero percent in sets two and three.
Holly Shinn and Emily Fritz led the way offensively with three kills each. Kaitlyn Barnes, Colony’s Miranda Golden and Mc-Kenzie Kueker each had two kills.
Allen recorded five service errors and did not have an ace the entire evening.
Shinn also had a team-high nine digs and Kaitlyn Barnes had nine assists.
Cate Spencer and Golden had the only two blocks of the evening.
The Lady Devils will hit the road to take on Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College on Wednesday before returning home to take on No. 22 Fort Scott the Wednesday after.
