POMONA — Uniontown High’s Eagles and the Marmaton Valley High Wildcats played in a junior varsity golf tournament Tuesday. It was hosted by West Franklin High School.
Marmaton Valley finished third with a 228 team score and Uniontown was fifth at 256. Central Heights won the team title with a 213.
Marmaton Valley’s Scott Tholen shot a 49 for the nine-hole event and took third. Ben Smith of MVHS earned seventh-place medalist honors with a 55.
Other Marmaton Valley scores were: Dillon Hall, 59; Cody Knight, 65; Anthony Tucker, 68; Cameron Ensminger, 72.
Uniontown was led by Brenton Esslinger with a 61, Cole George with a 63 and Brenden Wood with a 64. Reed Gleason shot a 68 and Zak Hueston had a 69.
