High School Baseball: Marmaton Valley Wildcats

Marmaton Valley got a home split on Monday versus Oswego. The Wildcats lost 7-6 in game one before getting a 16-1 win in game two.

Justice Pugh earned the loss in game one allowing seven runs (three earned) on six hits and a walk with two hit batters.

Isaac Heskett and Trevor Wilson each recorded two hits in the loss.

“Offensively, we had several opportunities to score runs and we didn’t get it done,” head coach Derek Scharff said. “Even in the bottom of the seventh, the tying run was on third base and the winning run was on second. We did that several innings this game. We didn’t play well at all on both sides of the ball. The only take-away was a great pitching performance by Justice.”
