Red Devil men and women split vs Colby

The Allen County women broke a four-game losing skid on Saturday, beating Colby Community College 71-57 at home while the men came up just short, falling to the Trojans 91-87.
Stats were unavailable for the women’s game but they are now 3-4 so far this season and 1-2 in conference play.
The men found themselves down 21 at the half before mounting an impressive comeback, scoring 57 points in the second half to fall by just four. Allen County cut the lead to just two with seven minutes left to play.
Freshman Perry Carroll had a career game high with 16 points to lead the way for the Red Devils while Tyler Williams had 15, Darius Love had 11 and Jamaal Clifton had 10. Sophomore forward Jacob Patterson had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Jovares Jones was just a point shy from double-figures with nine points.
The Red Devils are now 2-5 overall and 0-3 in conference play.
Both the men and women will take the long trip to Garden City on Tuesday. The women will play at 6 p.m. and the men will tip-off at 8 p.m.
