There’s a lot going on at the Farmers’ Market

This week’s Farmers’ Market offers a jam-packed lineup. 

It is ACMAT Family Safety Night and National Farmers’ Market week.

At today’s market, from 1 to 4 p.m. at 700 N. State Street, Iola, are cabbage, cucumbers, green onions, new potatoes, tomatoes, yellow squash and zucchini. 

Thursday on the square, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., vendors will have fresh-baked goods including bread, cinnamon rolls, and pies, along with eggs, honey, jams, jelly, and maple syrup. 

The fresh produce includes beets, cantaloupe, fresh herbs, green onions, herbs, jalapeno and green peppers, microgreens, okra, potatoes, tomatoes, sweet corn, squash, watermelon and zucchini. Meat includes beef and chicken. Craft items include handmade wood bowls, iron works, towels, and totes.

Also make sure to visit the Elsmore Ruritan Club puzzle exchange.

Saturday’s market on the Humboldt square is from 8 to 11 a.m. and includes cabbage, cucumbers, green onions, new potatoes, tomatoes, yellow squash and zucchini.

As always, the Market accepts EBT, debit cards and participates in the Double Up Food Bucks Program.
