In honor of Father’s Day, Merrill Hodgden was recognized as the oldest father present and Alec Cochran as the youngest at Sunday’s service at Carlyle Presbyterian Church.
Rex Heape of the Gideons gave the sermon.
Carlyle Presbyterian contributes quarterly to the organization, which has spread God’s word since 1899 and in nine languages. Last year, they distributed 85 million Bibles to hospitals, colleges, jails and prisons and even to grade schools. Bibles are placed so that people can find hope in God’s word.
Pianist Myrna Wildschuetz and song leader Kay Compton provided music for the service.
