Local history buffs and owners of old houses filled Iola Public Library’s meeting room Thursday night for “Researching Your Home and the People Who Lived There.”

Diana Staresinic-Deane, speaker from Kansas Humanities, identified sources of basic information and described how to ferret out juicier details.

She is the executive director of  the Franklin County Historical Society and the Old Depot Museum in Ottawa.

The library co-hosted the program with the Allen County Historical Society. A video of the event will be available on the ACHS Facebook page for the next two weeks.
