The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) plans to start a mudjacking project Tuesday, April 7, that includes locations in Allen, Greenwood, Neosho and Wilson counties. The start date is tentative, depending on weather conditions.
Mudjacking improves road-to-bridge transitions by using polyurethane foam to raise and level concrete bridge approach slabs and highway/shoulder panels. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the work zones and may be guided by a pilot car in some locations. Expect brief delays.
Locations for the work are:
• U.S. 169 in Allen County one quarter mile south of U.S. 54 junction.
• U.S. 169 in Allen County about four miles north of K-39.
