Private Blake Alan Mittelmeier, 18, Iola, graduated from the United States Marine Corps boot camp in San Diego Friday.
Mittelmeier successfully completed 13 weeks of intense basic training as one of 86 recruits within Training Platoon 1034 of Bravo Company.
While in recruit training, Mittelmeier achieved fireteam leader and shot expert certification on the firing range.
