Developer wants more money
PARSONS The developer of a hotel and conference center wants Parsons city commissioners to give him another $600,000 in incentives to build a Holiday Inn Express and conference center southeast of Cattle Drive and North 16th Street south of U.S. 400. The city had already agreed to give the project $1.4 million in incentives, mostly from sales tax and hotel guest tax revenue. Construction costs are nearly double what the developer anticipated.
