Chanute event results in 200+ vaccinations

More than 200 people got vaccinated last Friday during NCCC's "Community of Immunity" event.

CHANUTE — A “Community of Immunity” event at Neosho County Community College resulted in more than 200 vaccinations on Friday.

Activities included live music, a corn hole tournament, and free food. 

Those who received vaccines Friday also received a $100 Visa gift card.

Neosho Memorial Regional Hospital and the Neosho County Health Department partnered with NCCC in sponsoring the vaccination clinic.

According to the Chanute Tribune, one prize of $15,000 and 10 prizes of $1,000 will be offered in a drawing to all Neosho County residents who have been fully vaccinated by Oct. 26.
