Allen County’s Code Red telephone-based weather warning system will be tested at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Pam Beasley, emergency management director, said test calls would go to those who had signed up for the computer-generated notification, normally made when severe weather and associated circumstances threaten the area.
“A lot of citizens already have registered,” Beasley said. “We particularly want daycare centers, schools and any other places where children congregate daily to be registered.”
Those who haven’t signed up may do so at any of three Web sites: www.allencosheriff.org, www.allencounty.org or www.cityofiola.com. Registration and information is also available from Beasley at 365-1477.
