Comic returns for ‘Comedy For a Cause 2’

He’s back.

Spencer James, a nationally renowned stand-up comic who has several relatives in Allen County, will headline “Comedy For A Cause 2” Friday evening at Miller’s On Madison.

The event serves as one of the primary fundraisers for Hope Unlimited, a local organization that serves victims of domestic or sexual abuse.

Advance tickets sell for $20 apiece, or $25 at the door.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the comedy show beginning at 7. Audience members must be 18 to enter; 21 to imbibe alcohol.

James, who attended Allen Community College under drama instructor Tony Piazza, has performed across the country, winning the prestigious “World Series of Comedy” in 2014.

He has since been hired to perform on Carnival Cruise Lines as well as assorted gigs from across the country.

Opening for James is comedian Wade Ridley, a New Orleans native.

The same comedy duo was at Hope Unlimited’s inaugural Comedy for a Cause event in 2017.
