Leaf pick-up is Monday

Iola crews will begin their second and final leaf pick-up of the year Monday morning.
No call-in is necessary to schedule the pick-up. All that is necessary is that residents have the leaves bagged and placed along the street of a residential property by 8 a.m. Monday.
No alley pick-up will be provided, and crews will not pick up limbs or other debris. Loose leaves or leaves placed in other types of containers also will not be picked up.
Crews will pass through town only once and will not double back to pick up bags placed after the Monday morning deadline.
Inclement weather will cancel the pick-up.
The leaves will be taken to be composted and used as mulch at Elm Creek Community Garden.
Those who wish to bring their own leaves, loose or bagged, to the garden may do so at any time.
