Family escapes house fire

The cause of a house fire at 911 S. Washington Ave. has not been announced. The family was at home when the blaze started and escaped unharmed.

Fire crews battled a house fire early Wednesday evening at 911 S. Washington Ave. in Iola. The family, home at the time the blaze started, escaped unharmed. The cause of the fire was not immediately announced.
