Allen Community College paid homage to its storied legacy in the athletics realm with five new inductees in to the Red Devil Athletics Hall of Fame.

The inductees:

— The late Judith Bragg, who coached volleyball for 10 years at Allen, but whose support for the entire Red Devil athletic program stretched over her 29 years at the college.

— Bob Saueressig, a national champion cross country runner.

— Duane Wales, a standout on Allen’s 1983 Junior College World Series baseball team.

— Apples Jones, a standout performer on the hardwood for ACC women’s basketball.

— Kenny Norris, a national champion javelin thrower in track and field.

— Allen’s entire 1996 golf team, which won a regional championship in stunning, come-from-behind fashion.

The inductees were recognized during Saturday’s basketball games against Fort Scott Community College.
