Adequate staffing of paramedics on Allen County ambulances is a constant concern, Allen County commissioners learned Tuesday morning.
Were working to be an organization of choice, said Sid Fleming, Iola administrator. Trouble is, that top-notch training is only working to better prepare employees to seek better-paying jobs elsewhere.
We train them up good, they get to be go-getters, and then they want to go somewhere else, said Fire Chief Tim Thyer, who oversees the ambulance department.
