Helen Jean Skaggs, 74, of Humboldt died Thursday, March 25, 2010, at Heritage Health Care Center in Chanute.
She was born July 20, 1935, in Fayette County, W.Va, the daughter of William Raymond and Dosha Adeline (Idell) King.
On May 20, 1994, she married Ralph Eugene Skaggs in Rainell, W.Va. He died April 14, 2005.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Perez, Humboldt, and Susan Boling, Le Roy; two sons, Kenneth, Humboldt, and Ralph E., Neosho Falls; grandchildren, Casey, Lacey and Tacey Womelsdorf, Dakotah Van Fleet, Madison and Joey Skaggs, Kaiden Boling, Desiree and Rachel Skaggs, Noah Thornbrough and Chantel Verron; one great-grandchild; and cousins, Betty Cole, Jim Cole, Mary Cole, Mike Cole, Wanda Cole, Bob Cole and Charles Cole, all of West Virginia.
An infant son, Joseph Everett, died earlier.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Penwell-Gabel Humboldt Chapel.
Graveside inurnment will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Mount Hope Cemetery in Humboldt.
