Luella Mae Fuhrman, 77, Moran, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017, at the KU Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan.
Luella was the third of four children born to Aloysius and Marie (Yohon) Diebolt. She was born on Sept. 4, 1939, in Iola. Luella grew up in Piqua, attending St. John’s and St. Martin Catholic School before going to Iola High School, graduating in 1957. She then attended the Iola Junior College earning an associate’s degree. On Sept. 5, 1959, she married Louis Wayne Bradford in Piqua. They had five children together. They made their home at rural Moran. Wayne later died on Sept. 5, 1976. On Aug. 11, 1978, she married Leroy Fuhrman in Iola. Luella loved to garden and cook for her family. Her grandchildren were a special source of joy to her. She enjoyed sharing the holidays and birthdays with her family.
Luella was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Wayne.
She is survived by her husband, Leroy Fuhrman, Moran; her children, Susan Lewis and Doug, Moran, Sherry Henry, Moran, Roger Bradford, Bronson, Sandra Ellefsen, Marshall, Mo., and Debbie Jones and Jeffrey, Paola; nine grandchildren, Tyler and Tanner Lewis, Morgan Henry, Ashton Troxel and Gabriel Ellefsen and Vincent, Maximus, Grady and Ella Jones; two brothers, Marion Diebolt, Moran, and Vernon Diebolt, Piqua; and a sister, Marcella Wagner, Independence, Mo.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John’s Catholic Church, Iola, following a Parish Rosary at 9:30. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Iola. Memorial contributions may be made to Wings for Warriors.
