Pauline Mary Ulses, 95, of Westphalia died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, at Golden Heights in Garnett.
She was born Nov. 27, 1914, in Colony, the daughter of Kilian and Frances (Fritz) Ulses. She graduated from Colony High School in 1932.
She lived and worked in Wichita most of her adult life. During World War II, she was employed by Boeing as an assembly person in the manufacturing of airplanes. She worked for the Wichita Public Library as a library assistant, being awarded a Distinguished Service Citation by the City of Wichita for her 28 years and 11 months of service with the City Library. She retired in 1980 and moved to Westphalia to be near her family. 
She is survived by nieces and nephews, Marcella Nolan Skidmore and Alice Nolan, Westphalia, Patricia Nolan Prior, San Angelo, Texas, Thomas and Carol Ulses, Algona, Iowa, Roger Ulses, Fenton, Iowa, John and M. Helena Nolan, Lenexa, Gene and Monica Ulses  Omaha, Neb., Dennis and Shirley Nolan, Westphalia, Paul and Jan Ulses, Joice, Iowa, and Rosemary and Daniel Zaugg of Weatherford, Texas.
Five siblings, Ervin Ulses, Sue Ulses Nolan, Thomas Ulses, Kathryn Ulses and Lester Ulses, nephews, Dale Ulses and Lawrence Nolan, and nieces, Mary Frances Nolan and Marjorie Nolan, died earlier.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church in Westphalia. Burial will follow in St. Teresa’s Cemetery in Westphalia. 
The family will greet friends following a Rosary at 7 p.m. Sunday at the church in Westphalia.
