Russel Scott Lampe, 48, rural Colony, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016.
Rusty was born Aug. 14, 1968, in Iola, the son of Albert and M. Marlene (Westerman) Lampe. He grew up in Iola and graduated from Iola High School in 1986. On Sept. 2, 1989, Rusty married Tina Roush. They had two sons and later divorced. He has made his home in the Iola area most of his life and has worked for Colt Energy for 25 years.
Rusty enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his sons.
Survivors include his two sons, Nicholas Scott Lampe and wife Tarra, Iola, and Chase Albert Lampe and fiancé Abby Eisenbart, Iola; five siblings, Jerry Lampe and wife Debbie, Colony, Bonita Pulliam and husband Carl, Kenny Lampe and wife Phyllis, Rick Lampe and wife Darlene and Randy Lampe, all of Iola; two stepsisters, Sandy Mader and husband Clyde, Bella Vista, Ark., and Sherry Rees and husband James, Atlanta, Ga.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Lampe, and his mother and stepfather, Marlene and Harold “Sharpy” Sharp.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service in Iola. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Geneva Cemetery.
