Virgil Uriah Kimberlin, 67, of Moran died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at Allen County Hospital in Iola.
He was born July 4, 1942, in Harrisonville, the son of Loren Estel and Helen Fay (Yeates) Kimberlin. He grew up in the Dayton community in Cass County, Mo. In 1967 he moved to Oskaloosa with his parents. He later moved to Melvern and Virgil before moving to Moran in 2002.
He liked to play dominoes, watch the “Price Is Right” and hunt rabbits and mushrooms.
He is survived by a brother, Wendell, Altoona; four sisters, Francine Bryant and her husband, J.B., Warsaw, Mo., Janice Kimberlin and her husband, Dale Lansdown Sr., Bronson, Katherine Gibson and her husband, David, Creighton, Mo., and Josephine Eccles and her husband, J.D., Gridley; and several nieces and nephews.
An infant brother and a sister, Loraine Fletcher, died earlier.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Moran. Interment will follow in Bronson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
