It is time again to speak on behalf of our representative, Bill Otto.
It is nice to have someone in Topeka who does exactly what he tells us he will do. Honesty is one of those qualities that seem to be in short supply anymore.
Those families in the 9th Kansas District that have children in school, as well as those who have folks in one of the Medicaid programs (nursing homes) and others should really take a deep thought about what would have been the consequences of another cut in funding for these programs.
We went through the Farm Bureau agenda (don’t gore my ox) several years back, and it appears that it has reappeared.
Any tax at this time is difficult to swallow, but the potential long-term damage to the education and Medicaid programs without at least some gap funding would have been devastating.
It is time to stand up and be counted. Go to the polls Tuesday and cast your vote for Bill Otto for state representative.
