Sarah Charbonneau, a standout on the volleyball court for Allen Community College the past two seasons, is continuing her volleyball career at a four-year school.
Charbonneau has signed to play for New Mexico Highlands University, an NCAA, Division II school, according to Red Devil head coach Jessica Peters.
“We are so excited for Sarah and the opportunity Highlands has given her,” Peters said in a press release. “We know she will do big things, not only athletically, but academically as well.
As Allen’s defensive specialist, Charbonneau, a 5-3 sophomore out of Corpus Christi, Texas, made her living on the back row. She had 922 digs, nearly as many as the next two Red Devils combined. She also had 87 assists and 27 service aces.
She was named to the second team All-Region VI District N for Allen last fall.
