Barksdale shines in debut at Humboldt

HUMBOLDT — Sheldon Barksdale had not set foot on Humboldt Speedway before Friday night. But it did not take the Norman, Oklahoma native long to learn the fast way around the tight 3/8’s mile oval. 

Barksdale led from start to finish and picked up his second-straight and fifth-overall Ameri-Flex Hose and Accessories / OCRS sprint car main event.

In Out Pace/McCarthy Auto Group USRA Modified action Nevada, Mo.-native Chase Domer jumped out to an early lead and held off Tad Davis and Cody Schniepp for the win in a caution filled A-Main. Gene Hogan and Dennis Bishop rounded out the top five.
