Central Heights sweeps MVJH

The Marmaton Valley Wildcats had a tough time in Richmond Thursday after falling to Central Heights in each of their contests.

MORAN — Marmaton Valley Junior High’s basketball teams struggled at home against Central Heights Thursday.

In boys play, the visiting Vikings left town with wins of 44-14 in A team play, 22-4 in B team action and 14-2 in the C team contest.

The Wildcat girls A team fell, 39-11, and the B team dropped a 13-11 heartbreaker. Emily Heskett scored six points to lead the Wildcat A team, followed by Layten Blevins and Kimbree Daum with two each. Kloie Snavely added a free throw.

Snavely paced the Wildcat B team with four points. Zoey Endicott was next with three; Daum and Ellie Stinnett scored two each.

IN BOYS play, Daniel Allee scored six to lead the way for MV’s A team. Anthony Sander followed with four. Zayne Endicott and Jaren Curl scored two apiece.

Doug Dix and Ryler Stone each had two points in the Wildcat B team game. Kevin Martin scored two in the two-quarter C team game.

The Wildcat squads will host Uniontown Monday.
