The eighth-grade Ponies were unable to repeat their success from last week at Prairie View on Monday afternoon.
The A team went 25-20, 10-25, 11-25, and 8-25. Despite the loss, head coach Terri Carlin found a lot of positives in the girls play. Carlin praised the girls communication throughout the match, along with the precipice passing in the first set. Unfortunately, Iola was unable to duplicate that passing effort in the following sets.
Rio Lohman provided Iola with a presence at the net with five kills, along with an ace. Piper Aronson served nine straight in the first set to propel the Ponies to the set win. Jackie Fager chipped in two kills and two assists, and Piper Aronson provided two kills and two aces.
