The Humboldt Middle School volleyball team clinched a Tri-Valley League championship on Thursday.
The Lady Cubs matched up with an undefeated Cherryvale team and beat them in three sets 25-11, 26-24 and 15-9.
Karly Wools had six aces and Carsyn Haviland, Ella Lassman and Raegan Trester each had two aces. While Emma Ross had only one ace, it was the winning point in set three.
Ross, Trester and Ella Lassman each had two kills and Wools had four assists. Haviland, Morgan Sterling and Wools each had two blocks.
Tears of joy were shed by all as we clinched our league championship, head coach Darcie Croisant said. This team has come so far this season and they have taught me so much. Im excited to see them continue to grow and have success as volleyball players.
The B-Team won 25-12 and 25-20.
Trester had six aces, Morgan Hunter, Kennisyn Hottenstein and Ashlynn Works each had two aces.
The C-team won as well and was led by seven aces for Assya Goforth and Shelby Daniels. Emma BHymer had six aces.
