IHS runners stay on track

Iola's Karingten Hall made an impact on her second varsity track meet of her high school career Thursday. Hall took second in the 400 meters and bronze in the 100 at Paola Thursday.

PAOLA — A pair of runners led the way for Iola High’s track team Thursday.

Iola freshman Karingten Hall brought home a silver medal in the 400-meter dash, bronze in the 100-meter dash and eighth in the 200-meter dash.

On the boys’ side, Iola’s Jesse Taylor excelled in the longer distances.

He placed second in the 3200-meter run and fourth in the 1600 meters.

Iola took a smaller contingent to Paola with other athletes competing Thursday in Wichita.

Those results weren’t immediately available.
