On Saturday, the Iola 8U Rec All-Star team traveled to Chanute for an all-star team tournament.
The boys from Iola took first in the tournament, going a perfect 4-0 on the day.
In pool play, Iola squeezed past Chanute Blue 12-11, and beat Humboldt 16-4 in the next game. The 2-0 record in pool play gave Iola the number-one seed heading into bracket play.
Iola handled Chanute Grey easily in the first round of the single elimination tournament, winning 18-4.
The championship game was a rematch with Humboldt. Iola cruised to a 22-9 victory to cap off a perfect weekend.
