The Crest Lancers picked up their second win in a row after holding off a second half rally by the Lyndon Tigers for a 50-42 victory.
The Lancers gave themselves an early advantage with an across-the-board effort from their offense. Consistency at the free-throw line ultimately made the difference.
Crest High’s Levi Prasko goes up for a shot earlier this season.
Sophomore guard Kole Walter scored a team-leading 17 points, with more than half of his production from the free-throw line. A fourth-quarter 3-pointer and a pair of successful trips to the free-throw line kept the Tigers at a distance.
Junior guard Lane Yocham continued his hot streak beyond the arc from the War on 54 Basketball Tournament with a trio of 3-pointers for second in team scoring with 13 points, including a pair of timely fourth-quarter 3-pointers.
Other contributors included senior guard Levi Prasko and junior guard Xander Fuller, who had 9 points each. Senior point guard Henry White added a bucket to the winning effort.
With the win, the Lancers improved to 10-3 overall.
The Lancers face Pleasanton (11-1, 6-1) on the road Thursday. Tip-off will take place 20 minutes after the conclusion of the 6 p.m. Lady Lancers contest.
