LE ROY — Lancer Kobey Miller connected four times from beyond the arc in the first quarter, including a 3-point buzzer beater to put the Lancers up 28-7. Crest’s dominance continued as they rolled past Southern Coffey County, 71-36 in Thursday’s opener.

“We needed a start like this,” said Lancer head coach Travis Hermreck. “We had a lot of questions about ourselves, and didn’t know what we were going to see tonight. I’m really proud of the effort, and proud of our unselfish basketball.”

The Lancers opened the game on a 13-2 run before a timeout by Titan head coach Jay Applegate. The Lancers closed the quarter on another 15-5 run, with Miller scoring 16 of the Lancers’ 28 first-half points.
