MVJH teams win at home

MORAN — Marmaton Valley Junior High’s girls and boys claimed wins Monday against visiting Pleasanton Junior High.
The Wildcat girls edged out the Blu-Jays 22-21 in A-team play after trailing 11-10 at halftime. Mackenzie Tynon fired in 10 points for Marmaton Valley. Lindsey McNeil and Emily Boyd each had four points. Tessa Olson and Molly Hamlin each had two points.
In the girls’ B-team game, Marmaton Valley won 23-12. Kyla Drake had eight points followed by McNeil and Hamlin with four each. Tynon had three points. Mariah Root and Misty Storrer had two points each. The Wildcats lost a C-team game 4-2 with NaLea Alexander scoring for MVJH.
The Wildcat boys won the A-team contest 45-41. Brady Newman scored 21 points, followed by Trent Johnson’s 15 and Kohl Endicott’s seven.
In B-team action, Marmaton Valley won 36-17. Newman scored 12 points, while Gage Adams and Dan Myers both scored six.
