ACC head coach Andy Shaw dared to smile while his Red Devils dictated the pace of Wednesday’s game against Dodge City. At one point Allen Community College led by 30 in the third, and finished the job by earning a 93-81 win over the Conqs.

The win keeps the Red Devils’ nine-game winning streak alive, and most importantly, a perfect 5-0 start in the Jayhawk Conference.

Joel Boyce provided a major boost off the bench in the first half. Boyce scored 12 of his 16 points in the half, including three straight to put ACC at 23-16 near the halfway mark. Sophomore Canaan Daniels followed Boyce’s 6-0 run with back-to-back treys to put ACC up 13. Moments later, Daniels connected once more from beyond the arc to give ACC a 36-23 lead.
