Red Devil men finish first at Fort Hays State Tiger Open

The Allen County men’s cross country team headed west over the weekend to compete in the Fort Hays State University Tiger Open on Sunday and left with a first-place finish in the men’s 8K Black race made up of mainly two-year and small four-year schools.
The Red Devils scored 30 points which was 49 points better than second place Colby Community College.
Scoring for the Red Devils was freshman Berry King who led the way for the Allen men finishing third with a time of 26:07.5, freshman Joshua Clethen finished seventh with a time of 26:22.7, sophomore Paul Becker finished 10th with a time of  26:30.5, sophomore Anthony Glasgow finished 11th with a time of 26:38.0 and freshman Yoel Yoel finished 16th with a time of 26:48.1.
In addition to the scores, sophomore Alejandro Ruiz (27:26.8) finished 35th, sophomore Andonet Thermidor (27:52.7) finished 54th, sophomore Ludreche Bouanga (28:06.0) finished 61st, freshman Devin Brooks (28:09.0) finished 64th, sophomore Jesus Gutierrez (28:22.5) finished 78th, freshman Raul Sanchez (28:26.7) finished 85th, freshman Adrian Pishny (28:41.4) finished 92nd, sophomore Jose Reza (28:42.3) finished 94th and freshman Kyle Rader (28:46.5) finished 98th.
The Allen County men will have the next two weeks to prepare for the Region VI Championship in Garden City on Oct. 30 while the women have one final regular season meet at El Dorado next Monday.
