FREDONIA — Yates Center High’s Jake Morrison and Paul Stockebrand claimed Tri-Valley League medals in Monday’s TVL golf tournament.
Morrison and Stockebrand each fired an 81 on the Fredonia golf course, tying with Matt Winn of Eureka. In a playoff, Morrison earned third-place medalist honors followed by Winn and Stockebrand taking fifth place.
“Paul bogeyed the hole to drop to fifth and Jake and Matt parred it. Jake shot par on the next hole and Winn bogeyed it,” said Kevin Barnes, Yates Center golf coach.
Tyler Wyant of Caney Valley was top medalist with a 77. Caney Valley won the Tri-Valley League team title with a 330. Eureka shot a 345 for second place.
