Cremation is planned for former Moran resident Charles L. Boman of Topeka, whose death on Saturday, June 19, 2010, was reported in the June 24 Register.
Memorial services be at 10 a.m. July 10 at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, 4020 S.W. Sixth Ave., Topeka. Inurnment will take place at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.
He was born June 9, 1932 in Moran, to Archie and Ode (Dickenson) Boman. He graduated from Moran High School in 1950.
He entered the U.S. Air Force in 1950 and served four years at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
He married Jean Louise Erickson in 1954. They lived in Wichita and moved their family to Topeka in 1966.
He graduated from Wichita University in 1962 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He worked as an accountant for the State of Kansas for 23 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Kathy and her husband, Douglas Dunn, Flagstaff, Ariz.; a daughter-in-law, Betty Boman, Topeka; and a sister, Blanche Boman, Las Cruces, N.M.
His wife, Jean, son, Gary, and brothers, Archie and Gerald, died earlier.
