Jack Curry of Iola has purchased Piqua State Bank from Webb Dreiling. For the last three years Curry has served as director of Park College in Missouri. He has worked with banks in the past and as an engineering and agricultural consultant.

Sales totaled $240,000 at the auction at Lehigh Cement, Ray Pershall, president of Iola Industries said. The sale of land, coal, chemicals and equipment has produced enough to retire the indebtedness and leave Iola Industries with some operating capital, he said. Iola Industries purchased the plant from Lehigh for $275,000.
