Humboldt museum to host sculpture reveal

The Whitetails & Wildlife Museum in Humboldt will reveal a bronze-bust sculpture of a whitetail deer during an event open to the public Saturday, June 28.

HUMBOLDT — A bronze-bust sculpture of a whitetail deer will be revealed at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 28, in front of the Whitetails & Wildlife Museum, 715 New York St. in Humboldt. The work was commissioned by Max Rickerson, the museum’s benefactor.

Rickerson worked with renowned sculptor Fred Boyer of Anaconda, Montana. Boyer has won awards and worldwide recognition. He will speak briefly at the reveal event.

Rickerson sees his work at the museum growing. Many more plans and improvements are scheduled to be added to the displays already being shown. Well over 1,500 people have visited the Whitetails & Wildlife Museum since opening Jan. 8.

Everyone is welcome to attend the reveal event. The museum’s hours on June 28 will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., to allow everyone attending the reveal an opportunity to tour the venue.
