COLONY — Colony Christian Church celebrated Youth Sunday with its weekly services.

Ethan Prasko led Communion meditation. He reminisced about his experience with his baptism, and that we should remember the bread and juice are symbolic of our passion, loyalty and love for our faith in Jesus.

Pastor Chase Riebel gave the sermon on “Forgiveness,” going over the parable of the unforgiving debtor from Matthew 18:21-35. In this parable, there was a servant who owed the king a large sum. When he asked for leniency, the king took pity on him and forgave his debt. Then the man went to a fellow servant who owed him. When that man asked for leniency, his fellow servant had him thrown into prison.

When the king heard what had happened, he had the first servant thrown into prison and tortured until he could pay his debt. This is exactly what our Heavenly Father will do to us when we refuse to forgive our brothers and sisters in Christ, Riebel said.

Men’s Bible study is at 7 a.m. Tuesday. Adult Bible study is at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Youth group meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
