Tom and Margo Williams, Iola, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Ashley Nichole Williams, to Don Ralph Smith II, Bentley, son of Don Smith, Memphis, Tenn., and Lori Morris, Waterloo, Iowa.
The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Iola High School and 2006 graduate of Emporia State University. She is employed by The University of Phoenix in Wichita.
The groom-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Reeds Spring High School. He is employed by Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad in Newton.
The couple are planning a 2 p.m. Oct. 22 wedding at First Presbyterian Church in Iola. They plan to make their home in Bentley.
