The Iola Grace Lutheran Womens Missionary League members discussed at their Feb. 7 meeting how LWML will host its annual Day of Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m. March 7. Dinner and dessert will be provided.
Nancy Lassman led devotions on The Shepherds Peace, which dealt with the lowly status of the shepherds and their jobs of tending to the sheep. Yet, those same shepherds were the first to know of Christs birth, and were the ones to spread the word that the Son of God had been born. He is our Shepherd; we are his sheep.
The LWML zone spring event will be at Trinity Lutheran Church in Girard from 2 to 4:30 p.m. March 10. A Lutheran womens retreat celebrating 75 years as an LWML member will be March 30 at Emanual Lutheran Church in Hepler.
President Beth Ringwald opened the meeting with prayer. Members closed the meeting by saying the league pledge. Lassman served refreshments.
