MORAN — The Marmaton Valley High School forensics team picked up several pieces of hardware last week, including the squad’s second consecutive Three Rivers League championship.

The league title came Thursday at Altoona-Midway, where Marmaton Valley won five competitive speaking or acting events — four of which the Wildcats took first and second — to go with eight other top-six finishes.

On Tuesday, Marmaton Valley took fourth as a team at the Yates Center Invitational, earning six top-five finishes.
