Padlock damaged

Frank Thomas told police Thursday somebody cut the padlock to his storage unit in the 300 block of North Jefferson Avenue.

Vehicles damaged

Ted Bresee told officers Thursday morning somebody damaged his vehicle in the 500 block of South Chestnut Street.

On Tuesday, Kyria Ruby reported damage to her vehicle in the 700 block of East Neosho Street.

Deer hit

Lewis Scully told deputies he struck a deer on U.S. 169 northeast of Iola Sept. 20.

On Sept. 10, Corey Westervelt reported striking a deer on Old 19 about 2 ½ miles north of Iola.

Neither driver was hurt.

Driver crashes trying to miss deer

Chase DeMerritt told deputies Sept. 15 he was driving on Arizona Road southwest of Humboldt when he swerved to miss several deer in the road, striking a tree. DeMerritt was uninjured.

Saws, batteries stolen

Andrew Beatty told deputies Sept. 10 a pair of Dewalt reciprocating saws and batteries were stolen from a barn 5 1/2 miles northwest of Iola.
