Wesley United Methodist Church offered its annual holiday meal Wednesday evening. About 20 volunteers cooked, distributed and delivered the meals.

Wesley United Methodist Church volunteers served around 500 Thanksgiving dinners to community members Wednesday evening.

Spearheaded by Barbara Leavitt, about 20 volunteers cooked, distributed, and even delivered the meals in what, from the outside at least, appeared to be a smooth-running operation. “Good coordination and good volunteers” makes it all possible, noted Leavitt.

This year marks the church’s sixth of providing free holiday meals.
